To ensure your listing reaches the right Buyers, Flippa uses a mix of listing quality signals and platform activity. Our review team starts by assessing your summary, industry, and description, followed by various other listing components. Here's how to optimize each area:


Summary

A strong summary is critical for getting noticed.

Buyers often search using keywords or themes. Your summary should reflect those naturally, not by keyword stuffing, but by thoughtfully incorporating relevant terms.

Tip: Aim for a balance between readability and relevance. Think: “What would a Buyer search for?” and use those phrases authentically.


Industry selection

Choose the correct industry and sub-industry when creating your listing. This ensures your listing appears in relevant filtered searches or keyword queries.

For example, if a Buyer filters for “Entertainment” listings or searches for the word “entertainment,” your listing should align with those expectations.


Description

Buyers are more likely to engage with listings that offer complete, rich descriptions. In fact, listings with thorough details are 3.5x more likely to sell.

What to include:

1. The basics

  • What does your business do?

  • When was it started?

  • What industry are you in?

  • How does the business generate revenue?

2. Operations

  • Where are products made?
