Writing a thorough Listing Description is a great way to add value and professionalism to your listing. Consider this a one-page pitch designed to entice a buyer to enquire further. It needs to be crisp and concise and should contain sufficient information to say what is attractive about the opportunity.

Listings with the most detailed descriptions tend to sell at a higher rate compared to listings with shorter, less detailed descriptions. Buyers can also understand more about the asset or business through an informative description that outlines key aspects of the asset or business, its operation and performance, points of difference compared to similar assets or businesses in market.

This leads to better interactions with potential buyers and fewer questions or concerns.

Adding Financial and Performance Data

Buyers are looking to see evidence of any revenue and expenses stretching back as long as possible, plus performance data such as visitor or downloads (if an app). In order to attract buyer we recommend adding month by month revenue and expense amounts for the past 12 months or as long as you have them.

Please note that if your listing is live in both Flippa Business and flippa.com, financials should be added to both. If you are unable to add this data yourself please or have any questions please send the data to us and we can add this to the listing for you/ answer any questions that you might have.

Main Business Image

On your listing there is an image that is used as a thumbnail or the main graphic to represent your asset or business. This graphic is also used in any marketplace promotion for your listing and in search results. This image should be of good quality and directly associated or relatable to your asset or business. When people see this image they must be able to immediately understand the nature of the asset or business listed for sale, so chose your image carefully. If you wish to change the image that you have already used and are unable to add this yourself please send this to us and we can add this to the listing for you.

Additional Attachments

Finally, do you have any photos of - or additional information about - your product/ service/ asset or business? The more information you can provide, the greater the insight buyers will have about what you are trying to sell and the more interested they will be and more motivated to make an offer to purchase. If you are unable to add this data yourself please send this to us and we can add this to the listing for you.
