To connect your Shopify store to Flippa, you'll create a small private app in Shopify, then install it on your store. The app runs in the background, so nothing new appears inside your Shopify admin.
What you need:
- Access to your Shopify store admin.
- The App URL and scopes listed in this guide.
Step 1: Open App development in your store
1. In your Shopify admin, click Settings (bottom left).
2. Click Apps.
3. Click Develop apps (top right).
4. Click Build apps in Dev Dashboard.
Step 2: Create a new app
1. The Dev Dashboard opens.
2. Click Create an app.
Step 3: Fill in the app details
1. In App name, type a name for your app.
2. Leave Version name (optional) blank.

6. Search for read_reports and tick it.
7. Click Done.
Step 4: Create and release the app
1. Check that your scopes appear in the Scopes box.
2. Click Create app (top right).
3. A Release version window opens. Leave Description (optional) blank.
4. Click Release.
5. Your app version now shows as Active.
Step 5: Copy your Client ID and Client secret

2. Under Credentials, click the copy icon next to Client ID.
3. Click the copy icon next to Client secret.
4. Keep both handy. You’ll paste them into Flippa in Step 7.
Step 6: Install the app on your store
1. On the same page, click Install app.
2. Choose your store.
3. Check the access the app is asking for. You'll also see a note that says This app hasn't been reviewed.
4. Click Install.
5. You'll be taken back to Flippa.
Step 7: Connect your Shopify app to Flippa
1. On Flippa, open the Sell Flow or your listing page. The Connect Your Shopify window opens.
