This article explains the Buyer Funds Verification process on Flippa, including verification methods, what to expect, and answers to frequently asked questions.

Once verified, your Flippa Buyer profile will display a verification tick, signaling to Sellers that you have the financial resources to participate in serious negotiations.

How to verify your funds

You can verify your funds through your Flippa Account Settings:

  1. Navigate to Account Settings.

  2. Click on the Verification tab.

  3. Select Start Verification. You will be presented with two options:

1. Verify bank account balance (via Plaid)

  • Flippa uses Plaid, a secure third-party integration, to verify your bank account balances in real-time.

  • Instant verification is available for bank accounts based in the USA and Canada.

2. Manual verification by Flippa

If you prefer not to use Plaid, or if you have international accounts, you can manually verify your funds by uploading supporting documents. Acceptable documents include:

  • Bank account statement

  • Stock portfolio summary

  • CPA-issued letter

  • Home Equity Line of Credit (HELOC) documentation

  • SBA (Small Business Administration) loan documentation

  • Cryptocurrency wallet statement

  • Retirement account summary

  • Other documents showing available credit or assets

You must clearly identify the type of document(s) submitted when using manual verification.

What happens after verification?

Once your verification is complete (either via Plaid or manually), you will receive a confirmation email. At that point:

  • A verification tick will appear on your Flippa buyer profile.

  • You will be able to engage with listings that require funds verification.

  • Only you can see the amount of verified funds on your profile.
