The importance of paying and messaging on Flippa

To stay protected, always pay and communicate directly through Flippa.

Here’s why it matters:

1. Protection against fraud
Flippa cannot offer any protections if a transaction occurs outside our platform. Off-platform payments and communication increase your risk of scams, fraudulent behavior, and loss of funds.

2. Security & privacy
Flippa helps protect your personal and financial information. Communicating outside the platform puts that data at risk.

3. Platform protections
Transactions completed through Flippa are covered by our Terms of Service and payment protections. You also benefit from secure, trusted payment methods like FlippaPay and Escrow.com.

4. Easy access to deal information
Keeping all communication on-platform ensures that messages, attachments, and transaction details are organized and easily accessible in one place, especially in your Deal Completion Area.

About the Flippa Deal Completion Area

Once your offer is accepted or your auction ends, the Deal Completion Area becomes available. This space is designed to:

  • Discuss payment and asset transfer

  • Share documents and messages securely

  • Track when payments are made

  • Access Flippa’s post-sale support and protections

This is also where Flippa’s protections apply when using our verified payment partners such as Escrow.com.

Important reminders

  • Never send or accept payments outside Flippa without our explicit guidance.

  • If a Seller or Buyer insists on using an outside payment method, contact Flippa Support first. We’ll advise on whether the method is secure and whether our protections can still apply.

  • Use only Flippa-approved payment methods.

  • Report any suspicious messages or payment requests immediately. Our Marketplace Integrity team will investigate.

If your transaction doesn’t go through Flippa, we may not be able to assist if something goes wrong. Stay safe—keep everything on Flippa.
