Summary
Connecting your BigCommerce Account allows you to integrate your store to Flippa. Once you are linked, you will provide prospective buyers with up-to-date, automatically imported data without manually entering or updating it.
Details
Step 1: Log in to Flippa and select BigCommerce in your listing.
You have probably already completed this step, but when building or editing your listing, select BigCommerce in the Setup\Product section.
Then, in the Integrations section, click Connect.
Step 2: Get your Client ID, Client Secret, and Access Token.
Press continue to start the process.
Then enter your BigCommerce URL. If your store is at mystore.mybigcommerce.com, then enter “mystore.mybigcommerce.com”.
To get the credentials needed, you need to go to your Store API Accounts page.
Log in to your store on the BigCommerce page, entering your email and password.
\
In the new window, click Create API account with the token type V2/V3 API token option and enter a name easy to remember, e.g. FLIPPA.
Toggle the OAuth Scopes. We require read-only access to:
- Customers
- Information & Settings
- Orders
- Products
- Order Transactions.
You can leave all the other scopes with no access.
Click on "Save", and a popup will appear with the created credentials for this account.
Make sure to copy the Client ID, Client secret, and Access Token. If you are using Chrome, Firefox, or Edge, BigCommerce may attempt to download a text file containing the credentials, but you will not be able to access them after this point. If you lose the credentials, redo this step.
Step 3: Copy the Credentials on the Flippa page.
Return to Flippa, and complete the form by adding your Client ID, Client Secret, and Access Token from the previous step. Click Finish to confirm the connection.
Your BigCommerce store should now be connected. Please contact our team if you don't see that BigCommerce is connected.
Step 4: Continue to connect to other platforms.
You're all set; you can now continue to connect to other platforms you use.
