Flippa facilitates the buying and selling of digital assets and businesses.
A vital part of the listing process is confirming ownership of those assets and businesses; and part of that ownership process is confirming the personal identity of users claiming ownership.
ID verification takes place during the listing creation process. Flippa uses an independent service provider - Jumio - for ID verification. More information about the ID verification process can be found here.
Please note that when the ID verification process is started the URL will change to 'flippa.netverify.com’. This is expected behaviour and is part of the ID verification process.
ID verification can be completed either by uploading documents and images; or by taking an image through the device currently being used. Please note that if a document upload is selected, only JPG or PNG format are supported. Please also note that both front and back of ID documents such as drivers licenses are required.
Please note, if you have previously been ID verified outside of the Jumio process its important that you are officially verified again through the new process as this has links into our platform and into a range of internal processes and procedures. This is a simple exercise and will only take a few minutes.
