Once an online business or asset is sold, we recommend using Flippa Escrow as a payment method (for buyers) and a payout/disbursement method (for sellers) to complete the sale. Escrow is a secure way of ensuring that buyers receive what they pay for and sellers are able to receive compensation after both parties confirm that the asset transfer was successful.
As referenced in section 8.6 of our terms, Flippa itself is not an escrow service. For this, Flippa uses "Flippa Payments", which is an escrow service powered by a third-party escrow provider called Assembly. Assembly Payments specializes in providing secure and trusted financial services to marketplaces such as Flippa.
NOTE: We offer a 20% discount on Success Fees when sellers use Flippa Escrow as their payout method, which means a total reduction of the success fee to 12% of the sold price instead of the standard 15%.
